Zoe started her dance training in Shropshire at the Stretton School of Dance and Drama gaining Advanced examinations in Ballet, Modern dance, Classical Greek dance and a LAMDA Acting diploma. She gained places to study at leading dance colleges and was awarded the Margot Fonteyn scholarship to train at the Royal Academy of Dance in London. She graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in the Art and Teaching of Ballet and a Licentiate teacher qualification from the Royal Academy of Dance which is recognised worldwide. She has been teaching since 2001 to students in the UK, in Cyprus and in New York USA.  She has trained dancers of all ages in schools, colleges and universities, some of whom have been accepted into prestigious ballet and dance programs in the UK and America.  Zoe has been teaching ballet and dance in the South West to children, teenagers and adults for 12 years setting up Wells Ballet School in 2015.  Zoe has extensive experience entering candidates of all ages for Royal Academy of Dance ballet examinations gaining excellent results and choreographing and producing dance productions for students.

Andrea began her ballet training in Wells, where she gained her RAD Advanced exam as well as performing lead roles in many of the school’s annual productions. She went on to complete a three year Ballet Education degree at the Royal Academy of Dance, graduating in 2012 with a First Class Honours, and more recently gained the Associate of The Royal Academy of Dance (ARAD) Award.

Andrea teaches students at a number of schools around Bristol and Somerset, as well as running Tiny Tutus mummy and baby ballet classes. She has choreographed dances for many school productions and spent some time teaching children with disabilities at Flamingo Chicks CIC.

Andrea’s students have gone on to gain places at Laine Performing Arts Centre, Performers College and London Studio Centre, as well as various Associate ballet programmes.

Maia is a former pupil who was accepted onto the distance learning ballet teachers course at Royal Academy of Dance and qualified in 2017. Maia has lots of experience preparing and entering candidates for Royal Academy of Dance exams and enjoys choreographing for school performances. Maia has recently completed a contract teaching in China.

Judith trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama , London, qualifying as a specialist Speech And Drama teacher. Her contemporaries were Zoe Wanamaker and Robin Nedwell.She has devoted her career to teaching Speech and Drama to all ages and has worked predominantly at Wells Cathedral School where she was the first to introduce the subject at a specialist level.Judith’s work at Wells Cathedral School allowed her to work with children between the ages of three and eighteen. She has also worked with educationally disadvantaged young adults, dyslexic students and many youth theatre groups around Somerset. In addition she has taken groups to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and to Youth Competitions in London. For many years Judith ran cultural exchanges with other schools in the Czech Republic and Germany.

Sandra has 25 years teaching experience - an innovative choreographer who loves to nurture and encourage pupils to "own" their dancing. She trained at the highly acclaimed Laine Theatre Arts, completing the full professional dancers and teachers 3 year course. After another 3 years dancing professionally, she moved on to teaching, found her niche and received many choreographic awards nationally at All England competitions, Eisteddfods, the prestigious ISTD Janet Cram Awards and Festival of Festivals.

 

She has taught at Elmhurst Ballet School, Arts Educational School Chiswick, as well as many schools in South London/Hampshire. Her previous students have appeared or are appearing in West End productions - "Fame", "West Side Story", "Lion King", "Phantom of the Opera", "Billy Eliot", "We Will Rock You", "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", "Mary Poppins","Mamma Mia"; and TV's "So You Think You Can Dance", Matthew Bourne's "Swan Lake", Estonian Ballet Company, Romanian Ballet Company and many more worldwide.

 

She specialises in 1 to 1 training and student/professional training aiming for the best possible technical standard as well as having fun!

 

 

AISTD DIP, AAC DIP Acrobatic Arts

Abby has been dancing, singing and acting since the age of 2 successfully gaining the highest exams in all types of dance and dancing at Eisteddfods all around Bristol. She was an English Ballet scholar for many years and an avid majorette! She then moved to Leeds SLP Dance college at 16 and from there went on to train with Judith Hockaday (major examiner and teacher) in Swindon, gaining her teaching qualifications for ISTD Modern,Jazz, Tap, and National including Exercise and Fitness Knowledge in 2006. And now Acrobatic Arts Qualification to long line of qualifications.
She has performed in many shows over the years and regularly appeared in "Casualty"," ITV's Tricky TV" and "After Life". In Dubai 2004 she opened a country ladies event which was televised and has also appeared on the catwalk for Toni and Guy in London in 2005. She has been an extra with the Russian Ballet Company for "Swan Lake" and "Sleeping Beauty". She now has 18 years experience of teaching all around the south west area and its obvious by her enthusiasm that she loves her job.
